Where we pick up

What the $50 covers

One fee covers both trips: we collect the computer from your door, and we bring it back once it's repaired and tested. There's no extra charge for the return, and no charge per kilometre anywhere inside our 12km area.

The repair itself is priced separately. Labour is a fixed $274, which already includes the $88 diagnosis, and parts are quoted for your approval before anything is ordered. If you decide not to go ahead after the diagnosis, you pay the $88 and we still bring the computer back.

Getting ready for the pickup

Back up anything important if the computer still turns on. Pack the charger with a laptop, and for a desktop just the tower is usually enough unless the fault is with the screen, keyboard or another accessory. Tell us your login password, or be ready to log in when it comes back, so we can test it properly before we return it.

Please remove USB sticks, discs and anything in the drive bays that isn't part of the problem, and let us know about anything we should be careful with, like a swollen battery or a cracked case.

Who uses pickup and delivery

It suits people who can't easily get out, anyone with a heavy desktop or all-in-one, and people who'd rather not lose a lunch break driving across town. Small businesses use it too when a single office PC needs bench work. If it's a software problem, remote support may fix it without anything leaving the house.

Questions

Do I have to be home for the pickup?

Someone needs to hand the computer over, but it doesn't have to be you. Leave it with a family member or a neighbour and tell us who to ask for. We collect and return in the time slot you choose.

Is the $50 each way?

No. $50 covers both the collection and the return, anywhere within 12km of Mount Druitt.

What if it can't be fixed?

We tell you after the diagnosis. If you decide not to go ahead you pay the $88 diagnosis, and we bring the computer back as part of the pickup and delivery you've already paid for.

Can you pick up a desktop and monitor together?

Yes. Tell us what's coming when you book so we bring the right packing. Usually only the tower needs to come, unless the monitor or another accessory is part of the fault.
