What to bring

Bring every part for the build in its original box, along with the receipts or order confirmations. The boxes hold the screws, standoffs, cables and brackets we need, and the receipts are what you'll need if a part has to go back under warranty.

If you want Windows installed, bring your licence key or tell us if you'd like us to supply one. Include a monitor cable, keyboard and mouse only if you want them tested with the PC, and let us know about any drives you want carried over from an old machine.

A photo or copy of the parts list also helps. It lets us check compatibility before the parts arrive, so any problem can be sorted out while your return window is still open.

We check the parts before we start

Before a single screw goes in, we go through the parts list for compatibility: processor and motherboard socket, whether the board needs a firmware update for your processor, memory type and kit, cooler and graphics card clearance in the case, and whether the power supply has the connectors your graphics card needs.

If a part won't work, is missing or is the wrong model, we tell you before going further so you can return or exchange it. If a part turns out to be faulty on arrival, we show you how we confirmed it. Warranty claims on parts you bought go through the store you bought them from, and we give you the details they'll ask for.

Once the replacement part comes back, we fit it, finish the build and run the full set of tests. If waiting on a replacement changes anything about the job or the timing, we let you know before going ahead.

What the assembly includes

We fit the processor, memory, SSDs and cooler, including thermal paste where the cooler doesn't come with it pre-applied. The board, power supply, fans and graphics card go into the case, with the graphics card's power connector fully seated and the card supported if it's heavy.

Cables are routed neatly for airflow, and the fans are set to move air through the case in a sensible direction. We update the BIOS, enable the EXPO or XMP memory profile, turn on TPM and Secure Boot for Windows 11, and install Windows with the latest drivers and updates if you've asked for it.

Custom liquid cooling loops, extra fans, lighting controllers and additional drives can all be included. Let us know what's in the parts list so the quote covers the full job.

Testing before you get it back

Every assembled PC is stress-tested. We run a memory test at the rated profile, load the processor and graphics card for a sustained period while watching temperatures, and check the SSD's health and speed.

We then adjust fan curves for sensible noise levels, check every front-panel port and the audio jacks, and confirm Windows is activated and fully updated. If something only shows up under load, we find it here rather than you finding it at home.

You get a short summary of the tests we ran and the temperatures we saw, along with all the boxes and spare parts, so you have everything needed for any future warranty claim.

Pricing and getting your parts to us

Assembly is a fixed $274, the same as our repair labour, whether it's a simple office PC or a full gaming build. That covers the compatibility check, assembly, BIOS and memory set-up, Windows and drivers, and the testing. Our assembly work is covered for 12 months, and each part keeps its own warranty through the store you bought it from.

We're fully mobile, with no shopfront. Our pickup and delivery service is $50 extra and covers collecting your parts and bringing back the finished PC, with slots from 9am to 12pm, 12pm to 3pm or 3pm to 6pm. We cover about 12km around Mount Druitt. If you're not sure your parts list is complete, send it through when you book and we'll check it before anything is collected.
